Lucy took many walks on the dry brown trails at Lac qui Parle this winter. In early spring the winds blew in sunlight clouds with a hint of much needed rain. One day they were stunning reflected in a catch pond in the park's river. Lucy painted it on photographed it and painted a quick sketch. She wanted to try to catch it on some large design bowls that Gene had made this spring, layering stains, glazes and wax resist into what looked like a mess. The firing was kind and transformed the messy effort into an art bowl. Hallelujah!
