Gene made 4.75"x 5.75" tiles for Lucy's new Primstav series that begins with three spring designs for April, May and June. June 24 is an important holiday. Norway and Sweden celebrate the longest day of the year with bonfires, music, dancing and feasting, for starters. Green overglaze with underglaze stains and wax resist. Lucy also included charming symbols of St. Columba's symbol of a salmon, June 8 and St. Botolph's Rootless Day for pulling weeds, June 17.
